The Lali - A drum bell

The Lali, a wooden drum bell lays in the foreground.  It was damaged during Winston and will be re-hung in the Lali-house in the mid-ground in front of the village church.  The Lali is an important cultural symbol in traditional Fijian villages, and it is rung to call members to community gatherings.  This youtube link is a great video of the Lali being rung.
